The Wyke Equestrian Centre, Shifnal

I spent most of Monday taking photographs at The Wyke Equestrian Centre near Shifnal. There was showing, showjumping and dressage, and although the latter was curtailed (for me, anyway) by late afternoon rain, a splendid time was had by all. The staff and competitors were friendly and helpful, and I managed to get some decent shots for sale on the day.

Thanks to Sophie and Zena in particular for their help, and I look forward to returning on 26th July when a similar event is planned.

Celebrity Golfers and Spring Balls

Conductive Education Golf Day, Little Aston G.C.

A day at Little Aston Golf Club in Sutton Coldfield, taking photographs of the teams and selling the prints at the end of the round. The day's celebrity guest was Bernard Gallagher, 3 times Ryder Cup captain and winner in 1995. 20% of my takings are donated to the charity.

West Midlands Show Golf Day, Henlle Park Golf Club, Gobowen.

An excellent turn out for this new event, with 19 teams of 4 golfers taking part. Again, I will donate 20% of my takings to the West Midlands Show.

Telford United Supporters Trust Spring Ball

Another new event, and a splendid turn out, despite the rain and a power cut. A most enjoyable evening, met some great people, and hopefully we'll all be back next year.

Adcote School Summer Ball

A summer ball in the impressive surroundings of Adcote School for Girls in Little Ness, Shropshire. Business was brisk, despite technical problems with the lighting. Another enjoyable evening, and thanks to the kitchen staff for keeping me fed.

This week I have another 2 golf days, at The Forest of Arden near Meriden and then back to Henlle Park on Thursday. I'm also wating for a press pass for the Gillingham v Shrewsbury Play Off Final at Wembley on Saturday.

Promoted at Last!

The week ends on a high note with a trip to Reading for the final game of the season. I went as a photographer, so had to keep my celebrations to a minimum, but got my 15 minutes of fame on the pitch at the end with the players.

Well done you Blues!
