The Wyke Equestrian Centre

A second visit to The Wyke Equestrian Centre, near Shifnal where wind and rain were no deterrent to those wishing to take part in showjumping and dressage. There was a steady coming and going of horseboxes until I left around 4pm, concerned more for my equipment rather than myself (honest) as the rain became heavier. As part of my wedding photography service I offer a "Contemporary Bride" shoot as part of the shots taken at the bride's home on the morning of the wedding. This is a series of shots of the bride at her best, my aim being to make her shine as star of the day.

Free Portrait Photography!

In order to get my studio in Telford up and running, I'm offering the following until the end of July:

Attend for a 20 minute studio portrait session and get a free 9" x 6" photograph to take away with you!

There's a selection of backdrops, and when you choose your favourite from the PC I'll print it out there and then.

Offer is limited to one free photograph per family, and all sessions booked by 31st July will be honoured.

Coalbrookdale Infants School and Pets

Pets

I'm occasionally asked to photograph people's pets, and am happy to do so. This week a Rotweiller came into the studio, was very well behaved and we managed to get a number of shots. Let me know if you've got a pet that you'd like photographing - I can do this in my Telford Studio at fairly short notice.

"Macbeth" at Coalbrookdale Infants School

A visit to Coalbrookdale to photograph the Year 6 production of Macbeth, and a very good show was enjoyed by a packed hall. Barely a line was missed, and it was marvellous to see the children helping each other out with cues and lines. A most impressive leavers event at Coalbrookdale Infants School. The children arrived in style in a variety of limousines, and kept me busy taking photographs until the end of the evening. For those parents that didn't have time to purchase photos on the night, they are all now posted on my website in the "Events" section.

Golf, Kids and Another Ball

To the magnificent Patsull Park Golf Club near Shifnal to cover the PDSA Charity Golf Day. The weather was fine, and a good day had by all. 20% of my takings from Golf Days is donated directly to the charity involved, and virtually all of the teams bought photos. Thanks to Lisa and Brenda for all their help on the day.

Saturday

A studio shoot with three of the most photogenic youngsters I've had the chance to work with. Photographing young children is traditionally difficult, but when you know you've got the shot the parents want, it's all worth while.

30 minute studio shoots are currently on offer at St Andrews Church Hall in Church Aston, near Newport. There's a range of offers, and you'll get a contact sheet with around 20-30 shots to choose prints from. Call me on 01952 683681 or 07855 741368 if this is of interest. I'm also able to offer a framing service if the photo is for a gift or special occasion.

The Premier Suite, Cannock

The evening took me to Cannock, and The Premier Suite, an impressive venue that I'd not worked at before. A sold out ball was the event, hosted by Bob Hall from Central News fame, and headlined by the Jersey Boys, a Frankie Vallie tribute band that brought the house down.

We sold a good few photographs to a good natured crowd, and look forward to working at the venue again.

I now have a small studio at my new premises in Telford.

This is suited to portraits and small groups - ideal for families for example, individuals or small groups.

Hadley Learning Community Ball

To the Buckatree Hotel on Friday night for the Hadley Learning Community Leavers Ball.

The attendance was roughly 50:50 between pupils and staff, and all were determined to have a good time. Photography business was brisk, and I had my work cut out as on this occasion I was working alone. If an event has more than 100 attendees I generally bring an assistant - they print the photos and sell them, I concentrate on photography. On this occasion I sold more photos than I'd expected from the numbers attending.

Thanks to Theresa Rowding for her help on the night, and there will be a cheque on the way as soon as all of the orders have been dealt with.
